BCC awards licences for available radio frequencies
The most wanted radio frequency put up for contest by the Broadcasting Coordination Council (BCC) – 90.5 MHz in Balti – which was contested for by 14 radio stations, was awarded to Antena C with six out of nine votes of the BCC members.
Antena C also obtained licences for the frequencies 88.0 MHz (Chisinau) and 94.7 MHz (Varnita), outscoring 10 competitors in both cases.
Other licences for radio frequencies went to Pro FM Chisinau (90.4 MHz Cahul), Radio Scaparici (92.1 MHz Leova), Radio Sanatatea (98.7 MHz Dubasari).
The following frequencies didn’t get the required number of votes and remained undistributed: 71.72 MHz Basarabeasca, 98.0 MHz Comrat, 106.8 MHz Floresti, 100.6 MHz Stefan Voda, two frequencies in Ungheni and one in Cahul.
On September 27 BCC is to distribute available TV frequencies.
