A batch of baby food for children older than four months, consisting of puree of homogenized tuna with vegetables and potatoes, imported from the Czech Republic for four months, was withdrawn from the market.
The National Agency for Food Safety withdrew the baby food after receiving a notification via the Rapid Food and Fodder Alert System. The inspectors of the Chișinău Municipal Department for Food Safety carried out an unexpected check at the warehouse, where they found 480 jars with baby food.
Samples were taken from the batch, which, following the laboratory analysis, showed the non-conformity of the product. The stock distribution was stopped. The withdrawal procedure from the trading network of said batch was initiated.
