Basic Moldovan-Russian Treaty will be interrupted only if one of sides wants it, Vlad Filat
Premier designate Vlad Filat told the press on Tuesday that the Basic Treaty with the Russian Federation will be interrupted only if one of the sides asks for this. Otherwise, the document will be renewed automatically, Info-Prim Neo reports.
“We are yet to discuss the issue. We want to have very good relations with Russia and can obtain this not only by statements, but also by deeds that should be very many in number and multidimensional,” said Vlad Filat.
On Monday, the Head of Parliament and Acting President Marian Lupu stated for a TV channel that the Basic Treaty with Russia should be continued as this document is a strategic one. If nobody disputes it, it will be extended automatically for another ten years.
