The citizens of Moldova will be able to follow online the process of recovering the money stolen from Banca de Economii, Banca Sociala and Unibank on a banner placed on the official website of the Ministry of Finance www.mf.gov.md. The banner “Recovery of Stolen Money” was presented in the meeting of the standing committee for monitoring cases of increased social interest. The banner will become accessible on June 20, IPN reports, quoting the executive’s press office.
“We want the investigation into the theft from the three banks to go till the end so as to ensure transparency in the asset recovery process. It is important to take all the required measures so that such situations do not repeat in the future,” said Prime Minister Pavel Filip.
The banner will contain information about the recovery of the stolen assets that will be updated monthly, for each bank apart, in such divisions as: recovered sums, repayment of emergency loans and sale of assets.
“We want the information about this case to be accessible to all the citizens of the Republic of Moldova, including f those who are abroad. That’s why we decided to launch an online banner, which can be accessed from any corner of the world,” stated the Premier.
The standing committee for monitoring cases of increased social interest was set up on the Premier’s initiative to ensure interaction between the state institutions with a view to efficiently and swiftly solving resonant cases and identifying solutions for overcoming them.
