Employees of Mobile Customs Teams seized over 20,000 banned petards, to the value of over 80,000 lei, from a retail outlet located in Chisinau, IPN reports.

According to the Customs Service, the owner of the retail outlet – a Moldovan aged 37 – is being investigated for importing and selling banned fireworks. The inspectors established that this didn’t have an authorization and license for selling petards.

Specialists recommend purchasing pyrotechnics only from authorized places as these can be very dangerous for health and even life.
