Comertbank in 2009 saw a net profit before audit of 6.4 million lei, with ROE standing at 3.6% and ROA at 1.41%, the bank said in a press release, quoted by Info-Prim Neo. Among other achievements in 2009 the bank mentioned the introduction of chip-based VISA cards, the opening of a new branch in Chisinau, and the introduction of office hours during holidays. A new consumer credit line was opened for the employees of the bank's corporate clients. In 2009 personal deposits with Comertbank almost doubled to 42.5 million lei. Comertbank was founded on 14 November 1990. As of 31 December 2009, Comertbank's assets were at 431.9 million lei, including equity – 178.6m lei, credit portfolio – 189m lei, deposits – 247.5m lei.
