The Ministry of Finance opened bank accounts to which those who want can transfer money to support the flood-affected persons. The decision was made at the meeting of the Commission for Emergencies on Wednesday, July 7, Info-Prim Neo reports. Prime Minister Vlad Filat said the exact damage caused by the floods has not been yet assessed. “We are to identify budgetary and extra-budgetary resources to help those people. Now we are taking measures to evacuate the affected persons and their possessions,” the Premier said. A part of the aid, including water, food and blankets, already reached the affected areas. The foreign partners are also expected to provide aid. “Unfortunate, the losses are huge,” the Premier said.
