Bank accounts of Chisinau City Hall's divisions, district offices unblocked
The bank accounts of the divisions of the local administrations from Chisinau have been unblocked. Only the accounts of the Chisinau City Hall's chancellery are still blocked, following the request in the court of the heat supplier Termocom. The information was announced by the interim mayor of Chisinau, Vlad Cotet, at the staff meeting on Monday, February 23, Info-Prim Neo reports.
Cotet did not specify when exactly the accounts were unblocked.
According to the interim mayor, some 50 apartments with different areas are sequestered in an unfinished building on Liviu Deleanu str. in Buiucani district of the capital. It is meant for internally displaced people. “One of these days we'll send official letters to the Justice Ministry to get out of this abnormal situation,” said Vlad Cotet.
The access to the money managed by all the municipal divisions and district offices was blocked till last week because of the debt of 115 million lei the local administration owes SA Termocom. The two sides agreed on the issue of unblocking the accounts as the debt will be paid in two stages till later in March.
Later last week, Termocom's manager Dionisie Antocel told a news conference he would ask for other 285 million lei from the City Hall “as compensations for not adjusting the heat tariffs fore the last 3 years.”
