Balti situation to be improved through Government-approved plan
The set of documents on the creation of the Raut Industrial Park will have been elaborated by the end of this year, based on the industrial platform of the former plant with the same name. The deadline is set in the Action Plan for the resolution of existing problems and amelioration of the social-economic situation in the Balti Municipality for 2012 through 2014, approved by the Government on October 18.
The plan stipulates actions of public patrimony efficiency improvement, transport infrastructure quality improvement, renovation of the trolleybus park, efficiency improvement of energy and water consumption in the residential sector, all through the renovation of some curative institutions and the creation of a Regional Diagnostic Centre.
Government Deputy Secretary Anatolie Onceanu said that representatives of 10 ministries and local public authorities work on elaborating the plan. “The Balti Municipality, as well as other localities, has many issues, but we set ourselves the goal to include in this plan only attainable endeavours, for the population to really feel an improvement of life”, said the official.
81 million lei will be allocated from the Road Fund, for the construction of a detour road on the Sarateni-Balti highway. 31 million lei will be allocated for the rehabilitation and modernization of the water provision and sewage systems in the future Raut industrial park, and on the territory of the Balti Free Trade Zone. 2 million lei will be allocated for the prevention of landslides throughout Balti, etc.
Premier Vlad Filat said that the approval of this action plan is an example of collaboration between central and local authorities. This collaboration method is also to be applied in relations with other local public administrations.
