Balti residents disconnected from gas supply as a result of fault

More than 2 500 inhabitants of Balti town remained without natural gas as a result of a fault in the gas supply system on Monday evening, Info-Prim Neo reports.
According to a communiqué from Moldovagaz, the emergency services and maintenance teams of SRL Balti-gaz acted promptly and the gas supply to about 2 000 disconnected consumers was restored towards 11pm, while to the other consumers – at 01am. About 50 consumers were still disconnected from the gas supply at 8am.
A commission was set up to examine the circumstances of the incident.
There are 37,000 natural gas consumers in the municipality of Balti.
