The Balti-based company “Raut” will produce the first solar collectors in Moldova within the project “Strengthening local capacities to produce solar collectors in the Republic of Moldova”. The first line to assemble 100 solar collectors was launched on June 27, IPN reports.
According to the Ministry of Economy and Infrastructure, the solar collectors will be assembled by technical personnel that were trained in Poland and Moldova. The raw material for assembling the 100 vacuum tube solar collectors was imported from Poland.
To install the production line, purchase the necessary raw material, train the personnel and certify production, the United Nations Industrial Development Organization provided €170,000 in the form of a grant and in technical assistance.
The company “Raut” will assemble and sell equipment in Moldova and abroad during at least three years.
The project is supported by the Ministry of Economy and Infrastructure and is implemented in concert with the Energy Efficiency Agency with support from the Government of Poland through the agency of the United Nations Industrial Development Organization.
