The Moldovan citizens cannot vote in ten polling places outside Moldova’s borders because the ballots there were used up. These are the polling places established at Stratford (UK), Bucharest (Romania), Parma and Padova (Italy), Moscow (Russia, 2), Dublin (Ireland), Paris (2) and Villeneuve Saint Georges (France). The information was presented for IPN by the communicator of the Central Election Commission Rodica Sarbu.
On social networking sites, the Moldovans post videos and photos of people continuing to form lines at polling places abroad and compile petitions whereby they complain that their right to vote was violated.
Almost 129,000 Moldovans voted at polls abroad by 8:30pm. The figure is twice higher than in the first round of presidential elections.
