/1:00pm/ The border authorities of Ukraine informed their Moldovan colleagues that traffic restrictions were imposed on the roads that go to Moldova for all the categories of motor vehicles, owing to the elements. Traffic in the southern area of the border, on the Ukrainian, side, is banned. Thus, the state border cannot be crossed through the customs posts located on the Moldovan-Ukrainian border.

/10:09/ The Border Police specified that the state border can be crossed through the border crossing points “Giurgiulesti-Reni”, “Vulcanesti”, “Mirnoe”, “Cismichioi”, “Ceadar-Lunga-1”, “Ceadar-Lunga-2” and “Basarabeasca”, but, given that the heavy snowfalls blocked the access ways to Ukraine, the units of transport cannot continue their way. Thus, the drivers have to go back.

/09:07/ In connection with the blocking of access to the territory of Ukraine amid the heavy snowfalls, the customs posts “Ceadar-Lunga 1”, “Ceadar-Lunga 2”, “Basarabeasca”, “Mirnoe”, “Vulcanesti” and “Cismichioi” imposed traffic restrictions. Owing to the bad weather, the passing of large trucks through the customs posts “Tudora” and “Palanca” was banned, IPN reports.
Three wharf-like border crossing points remain closed because of the ice bridges that formed on the Nistru River. These are “Soroca”, “Cosauti” and “Vasilcau”.
