The Chisinau City Hall has allocated 200,000 lei from its reserve fund for purchasing and replacing the heaters at the Bacioi-based High School “Grigore Vieru”. According to Mayor General Dorin Chirtoaca, the school’s heating system will be put into operation by the end of this week as the students are now on vacation, Info-Prim Neo reports. Dorin Chirtoaca, who visited the school several days ago, said the students had to endure cold in the classrooms where the temperature was 9-11 degrees Celsius. The mayor instructed the specialized services to examine the defective heaters so as to determine if they had been badly managed or they are incompatible with the heating pipes. The High School “Grigore Vieru” in Bacioi village, which forms part of the municipality of Chisinau, is the only pre-university education institution in the municipality that has not been connected to the heating system.
