The national Baccalaureate examination sessions 2019 starts on June 4 and ends on June 21. The secession will involve 17,754 candidates, 2,478 of whom are students who failed exams the previous sessions. The exams start at 9am and will be sat at 92 Baccalaureate centers, 30 of which are situated in the municipality of Chisinau, IPN reports.
Asked how they will fight cheating in exams, Anatol Topală, director of the National Agency for Curriculum and Assessment, said the number of those who tried to cheat during the first years after the introduction of video cameras and were not allowed to take the exam as a result exceeded 1,000. In time the figure decreased to several persons. The students no longer want to risk failing the exams by cheating.
As to the test papers, Anatol Topală said all the tests are based on the school program. The papers will be graded during June 4-24. The results will be posted at the Baccalaureate centers on June 26. On June 26 and 27, those dissatisfied with the grade could submit challenges. The results following the examination of challenges will be made public on July 4.
Those who will not be able to take exams during the main session can file applications to sit the exams during the additional session on July 4 and 5.
The Baccalaureate diplomas will be issued during July 8 – 9.
