The individualized childcare services and the family type childcare services could be provided based on the entrepreneur’s patent, as a law that was adopted by the MPs provides, IPN reports.
The goal is to legalize the activity of looking after children younger than three. Given that the safety of children needs to be ensured, additional requirements concerning the issuing and suspension or withdrawal of the parent for such a kind of activities were proposed.
The bill sponsors, PAS MPs, said the implementation of the new law will enable to avoid the unofficial payment of salaries to persons who provide alternative childcare services. Also, the new framework will enable the carers to obtain medical and social insurance based on a simple, accessible and attractive fiscal regime. The bill takes into account the necessity of ensuring a safe environment for the beneficiary children.
The bill was drafted in cooperation with UNFPA Moldova, UN Women, UNICEF and GIZ Moldova.
