A woman gave birth to a baby boy in the ambulance carrying her to the maternity hospital. Ludmila Untura, doctor coordinator of the Emergency Service in Chisinau, told Info-Prim Neo that the delivery was dealt with by the ambulance team called to transport the mother aged 30 from Sangera town to the hospital. A family quarrel was close to turn into a tragedy. A young man of 19, residing on Ismail Street in Chisinau, was shot by his father from a firearm. The man was rushed to the Emergency Hospital with a gunshot wound in the left thigh and femoral bone. The police are investigating the case. A female passenger of a taxi aged 58 was taken to the hospital with several ribs broken after the car in which she was travelling crashed into a Hyundai at the intersection of Bucharest and Banulescu-Bodoni streets. The accident happened at around midnight. Yesterday and last night, the Emergency Service in Chisinau received 714 calls, 61 of which related to injuries of adults and 21 to injuries of children, 69 to acute virosis and 4 to brain strokes.
