The athletes who achieved goods results at the 2014 Summer Youth Olympics will receive money awards, IPN reports, quoting a Government decision.
Gold medalist in kayak-canoeing Serghei Tarnovschi will be awarded 100,000 lei, while his coach Alexandru Chirpicenco – 50,000 lei.
Silver medalist in freestyle wrestling Dumitru Ceacusta will receive 75,000 lei, while his coach – 35,000 lei.
Tatiana Doncila, who won bronze in freestyle wrestling, will get 50,000 lei, while her coach Petru Marta – 25,000 lei.
The money will be allocated from the Government’s reserve fund. The second Youth Olympic Games, which involved athletes from over 150 counties, was held in Nanjing, China, between August 16 and 28, 2014.
