Awards for cleanest and neatest settlements

Anenii Noi, Sangerei and Glodeni will be awarded prizes worth 60,000 lei each for refurbishment projects. The towns were declared winners of the “Cleanest and Neatest Settlement” contest in the category of towns with a population of up to 20,000 inhabitants, Info-Prim Neo reports. No prizes were awarded in the category of settlements with a population of over 20,000 residents (municipalities and towns). Prizes worth 40,000 lei in the category of villages with not more than 20,000 inhabitants will be offered to Tetcani village of Briceni district, Oxentia village of Dubasari district and Braviceni village of Orhei district. Porumbeni village of Cimislia district and Pocrovca village of Dubasari district will receive prizes to the value of 20,000 lei each. The money will be allocated from the National Ecological Fund and transferred to the accounts of the mayors’ offices to carry out refurbishment works. Minister of Local Public Administration Valentin Guznac said Monday that the draft decision regarding the holding of the eighth contest of the kind will be presented to the Government for approval in a month.
