The company that manages the Chisinau International Airport, Avia Invest, the previous year made investments mostly from current activity and the resources that constituted the object of lending contracts, said vice director of the Public Property Agency (PPPA) Mihail Sotski, who responded in Parliament to a question put by PPPDA MP Arina Spătaru.

Mihail Sotski said the response does not refer to the situation of 2020, for which no data exist yet.

To Arina Spătaru’s question “What was the amount of the own investments of the concessionaire of the Chisinau International Airport until 2019”, Mihail Sotski said that at the first stage, in 2013-2015, slightly over €45 million was to be invested under the contract. The effective investments made in the initial period, until December 31, 2017, when the second stage was launched, came to €51 million. The monitoring commission accepted concession works in the amount of €48 million, which is a surplus of over 3 million.
