The average monthly salary in the economy in 2024 will be 13,700 lei. This is provided in a bill drafted by the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection, which makes reference to the macroeconomic indicators for 2023-2026 forecast by the Ministry of Economic Development and Digitization, IPN reports.

“The forecast average monthly salary in the economy is used to determine the upper limit of the calculation basis of the social welfare and allowances, the insured monthly income of salary earners who are residents of information technology parks and the value of the damage caused through the commission of offenses. It is also used to determine the damage caused to the rights and interests protected by law of private individuals or legal entities and the size of damage that led to tax evasion at enterprises, institutions,” stated the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection.

The average monthly salary in the economy in 2023 is 11,700 lei.

Several days ago, the Government approved the minimum official salary that in 2024 will be 5,000 lei.
