The average salary in the economy in 2016 was 5,084 de lei. The information was presented by the Ministry of Labor, Social Protection and Family in the March 17 number of the Official Gazette, IPN reports.

The average pay in 2016 was by 473 lei higher than the average monthly salary in 2015, which was 4,611 lei.

At the suggestion of the Ministry of Labor, the average monthly salary in the economy for 2017 was projected at 5,300 lei.
