The average official salary in 2023 will be 11,700, up 1,800 lei on this year, IPN reports.
Corina Ajder, secretary of state at the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection, said the proposal to increase the official salary was formulated based on the macroeconomic indicators forecast by the Ministry of Economy for 2022-2024.
The average official salary is used to determine the ceiling of the calculation basis for social welfare, the monthly insured income of salary earners that are residents of IT parks and the damages in particular situations defined in the Penal Code.
