The average official monthly salary for this year is expected to be of 6 150 lei. A decision to this effect was carried by the Cabinet on January 11, IPN reports.
The estimated average official salary is used to calculate the social welfare benefits. This was projected in accordance with the macroeconomic indicators for 2018-2020 forecast by the Ministry of Economy and Infrastructure.
The average official monthly pay for 2017 was approved at 5 300 lei, but the figure was later raised to 5 600 lei.
