Average monthly salary up 26%
The average monthly salary of a Moldovan employee was 2,454.8 lei during the January-August span and rose 26% compared with the same period of 2007. Yet the index of the real salary rose 10%, Info-Prim Neo has learnt from the National Statistics Bureau.
The budget earners' average salary was 1,906.8 lei, while the employees in the real sector of economy got 2,740.3 lei.
The employees practicing fishing and pisciculture had the smallest salary – 1,254.4 lei a month, followed by employees in agriculture, hunt industry and silviculture – 1,275.6 lei and in education – 1,645.2 lei. The largest salaries rested with financial sector employees – 5,447.7 lei, energy – 4,275.3 lei and extracting industry – 3,576 lei.
In August, the average remuneration of an employee was 2,611.8 lei. Compared with August 2007 the salary grew 23%. In the budget sector the average salary was 1,811 lei, rising 17% with the same period of the last year. In the real sector, the monthly salary was 2,982 lei surging 24% year on year.
