The gross average monthly salary this June was 3,859 lei, by 1.4% lower than last June, show data of the National Bureau of Statistics. In the budgetary sphere, the average pay was 3,696.4 lei (minus 18.9% on last June), while in the real sector of the economy – 3,924.6 lei (plus 8.5%), IPN reports.

The salary in the budgetary sector decreased because the sums calculated for annual leave in the education institutions this year are shown separately for every month of leave, unlike last year, when the given payments were included in the calculations for June. This fact influenced the growth rate of pays in the budgetary sector.

The highest average salary for June was recorded in the financial sector – 7,243.2 lei. In the industry sector (electric power, heat, gas and water), the average pay was 5,596.9 lei, in the area of realty transactions – 4,989.6 lei, while in the public administrations sector –  4,822 lei. The lowest salary was recorded in pisciculture – 2,081.7 lei, and in agriculture – 2,208.9 lei.

According to the National Bureau of Statistics, the minimum subsistence level for 2012 was 1,507.5 lei.
