The autumn cleanup campaign started in the municipality of Chisinau. The General Housing and Amenities Division said that about 400 workers have been involved in the cleanup process. Twenty pieces of equipment are daily engaged in the mechanized cleaning process, IPN reports.

In the ordinary meeting of officials of municipal services, the Division’s head Ion Burdiumov said that about 30 pieces of equipment transport waste away. A total of 280 routes for collecting waste were organized last week.

During the cleanup campaign, the General Housing and Amenities Division will ensure the monitoring of the works performed to cleanup areas close to apartment buildings, yards of apartment buildings, including playgrounds. It goes to platforms, waste collection rooms, the roadway and sidewalks, green areas, sports ground administered by municipal housing sector managing enterprises, associations of condominium co-owners, associations of privatized dwelling owners, homebuilding cooperatives or other managers.

In this connection, the Division calls on those involved to show responsibility and to ensure the employees’ maximum involvement in the cleanup campaign. It also reminds that the burning of leaves and waste is strictly prohibited.
