The Chisinau cleanup company “Autosalubritate” signed long-term contracts with two veterinary clinics for the sterilization and vaccination of stray dogs, mayor general Ion Ceban announced in the ordinary meeting of officials of municipal services, IPN reports.

The pilot project is implemented in Ciocana district and is to be initiated in Râșcani district this week. In parallel, the regulations on the functioning of the municipal animal shelter will be reviewed.

The mayor noted that the municipality does not have a clear view as to how the problem of stray dogs can be solved, but it’s definite that this issue should be treated by abiding by the human values.
