The cleanup company Autosalubritate has launched a public tender contest to buy 44 trucks for transporting municipal solid waste that is held as part of the Chisinau Solid Waste Project. The deadline for submissions is June 21, 2022, IPN reports.
The Chisinau City Hall said the tender contest is held through the Client E-Procurement Portal of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development “ECEPP”.
The Chisinau Solid Waste Project is financed by the local public administration of Chisinau, the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, the European Investment Bank and the Eastern Europe Energy Efficiency and Environmental Partnership (E5P). It is designed to bring the best practices for providing a high-quality waste management service for the benefit of clients.
The project is implemented in 2020-2023 and has a total budget of about €23 million – €9 million is a loan provided by the EBRD, €9 million is a grant offered by the EIB through the agency of the Ministry of Finance, €5 million is a grant offered by E5P, while €850,000 is provided by the EBRD donors – EU member states.
