Automated system “Social Assistance” becomes functional Sept. 2

The automated information system “Social Assistance” starts work on September 2. Minister of Labor, Social Protection and Family Valentina Buliga told a news conference that this system will ensure the more efficient monitoring of the beneficiaries with a view to preventing situations of risk for socially deprived families, IPN reports.

The information system will provide data about accounting, the number of beneficiaries and the budget estimate for the next years.

“The system is the result of an enormous effort within which there were trained over 1200 community social workers who were provided with the necessary equipment and computers,” said Valentina Buliga.

The system is implemented with financial support from the World Banka and contains two models – social insurance benefits and social services.
