Two men who committed a double murder in Corjova village of Criuleni district last September were sentenced to 12 years in jail. When questioned by the prosecutors, the culprits admitted their guilt, IPN has learned from the Prosecutor General’s Office.

The dead bodies of the victims were discovered by locals in a wagon. The suspects were arrested in several days. It was established that the culprits and the victims got into an argument after drinking alcohol together. The murderers kicked and punched the victims and then strangled them with a sweater.

The sentence can be appealed to a higher court.
