Starting with March 2014, the operators managing water resources from hydrographical reservoirs will apply for authorizations for using water at the one-stop office or by accessing the information portal servicii.gov.md. The platform will enable to process the applications and to issue authorizations in a short period of time, IPN reports.

E-Government Center executive director Stela Mocan told a news conference that owing to this system, the private individuals and legal entities will be spared from difficult and costly procedures for obtaining authorizations for using water. The whole process will last for about 15 minutes.

The project is financed with a World Bank loan.
