Authority for Religion Issues will be disbanded
The Government decided this week to dissolve the State Service for Religion Issues (SSPC); its responsibilities will be assumed by the Ministry of Justice, in conformity with the amendments to the Law on religion, which entered into force in mid-August 2007.
SSPC was obliged, within two months, to pass all the archives and record books on religions and religious organisations to the Ministry of Justice.
The pending applications for registration of religious organisations will be passed on to the Ministry of Justice within 15 days.
The dissolution procedure also encompassed the hand over of all SSPC goods to the Ministry of Justice.
