The Buiucani district head’s office set up a special commission that will inspect all the balconies of the building located at 19 Coca St, where a balcony from the sixth floor caved in on February 19. The local authorities said the competent municipal services will repair the damaged balconies, IPN reports.

According to the Chisinau City Hall, the area was secured. The apartment building situated at 19 Coca St was constructed in 1982 and belongs to a privatized dwelling owners association.

Two men from Chisinau suffered injuries when the balcony on which they stood collapsed. One of them got stuck between two concrete slabs, while the other one fell down and was rushed to the hospital in a serious condition.
