Authorities promise clearer procedure for selling-purchasing land adjoining state-run enterprises

The Ministry of Economy pledged the procedure for selling and purchasing plots of land located near state-owned companies or the local public authorities will become clearer. According to Deputy Minister of Economy Octavian Kalmyk, many companies do not have documents showing that they own the used adjoining land or it happens that the plot is smaller and larger than the one indicated in the ownership documents. Thus, there appear many misunderstandings, Kalmyk said, quoted by Info-Prim Neo. The Government recently designated the authorities that will determine the area of the adjoining land and the methods of introducing the related changes in the Register of Real Estate managed by the State Agency for Land Relations and Cadastre. The move is aimed at making the regulations in the field more effective, Octavian Kalmyk said. In this connection, Prime Minister Vlad Filat instructed conducting an analytical study of the privatization of the plots adjoining state-run companies. The study will analyze the work of the persons responsible for managing the state property and the related collections gathered into the state budget. According to the preliminary data provided by the Ministry of Economy, the dividends earned by the state from its companies in 2009 total 150 million lei. The sum transferred to the budget is not known.
