For the first time in Moldova, the Road Fund for 2014 will contain about 400 million lei for repairing roads going to schools, kindergartens, hospitals and mayor’s offices in villages. Overall, more than 700 settlements will have better roads, IPN reports, quoting a communiqué from the Government.

Over 500 km of roads will be covered with bitumen, Deputy Minister of Transport and Road Infrastructure Boris Gherasim said in a working meeting of the Board of the Road Fund.

The 2014 Road Fund totals 1.3 billion lei.
