The authorities of Gagauzia have allotted MDL 45 thousand to TeleRadio-Gagauzia Company to ensure its further activity, after the studios of the channel were robbed a week ago, Governor of Gagauzia Mihail Formuzal said on Wednesday, May 16. According to the cited source, the burglary caused damages worth MDL 100 thousand, but the authorities allotted the strictly necessary funds to make the channel operational. When asked to make statements on the supposed reasons behind this crime, Formuzal said that the recent purchase of the new equipment was publicly known, and that could have determined the burglars to steal it. He expressed his hope that the police will find the felons. The studios of Teleradio-Gagauzia were robbed on the night form 9 to 10 May.
