The authorities and a team of IBM Global Services are considering the possibility of setting up an IBM center of excellence in Moldova. The center will transform the scientific and technological initiatives into practical solutions with economic and social impact, IPN has learned from the Government’s press service.
Besides the possibility of concertedly implementing research projects, IBM is interested in providing mentor programs for Moldovan students, materials for developing learning programs in several key areas and internship opportunities for young Moldovan researchers.
IBM Global Services is the world’s largest business and technology services provider and the most innovative company at world level. Over the last 15 years, it registered the largest number of patents on its technological inventions. In 2012, the company invested over US$6 billion in research and technological development.
