The Ministry of Education and Research denies a recently circulated report according to which the citizens are urged to go out and vote on Sunday and support a particular candidate. “The Ministry did not issue such an order,” Elena Pociumban, senior consultant at the Ministry of Education and Research, has told IPN.

A photo with the “Stop-False” marking was published on the Ministry’s Facebook page. This is a statement denying the alleged order and an appeal to the citizens to inform themselves first of all from official sources.

“The Ministry of Education and Research is an apolitical institution dedicated exclusively to fulfilling its mission to promote education, research and innovation in the Republic of Moldova,” the authorities emphasized.

The Ministry of Education urges the citizens to be careful with the sources of information so that they do not fall prey to fake news and get information only from official sources.
