Authorities announce the winning bidders of “Antena C” and “Euro TV Chisinau” buyout

The municipal radio station “Antena C” will be sold to Dunitru Liuticov and the TV station “Euro TV Chisinau” to Igor Boldureanu. This is the decision of the tender commission that was made public on Wednesday, January 17. The decision was presented at a joint session of the Legal Commission, Budget Commission and the Mass-Media Commission. According to the decision of the tender commission, “Antena C” will be sold at the price of MDL 1.05 mln, and the investment volume will amount to MDL 3 mln during 3 years, including the obligation to pay off all the debts. “Euro TV Chisinau” will be sold for MDL 2 mln. The entire sum is due to be paid by July 1, and the volume of investments will amount to MDL 25.5 mln, including the obligation to pay off debts. The interim-mayor will be empowered to conclude the sale-purchase contracts. At the meeting of the 3 commissions, several councillors mentioned about the illegal character of this decision and the small prices set for the buyout of the stations. Councillor Igor Crapivca proposed to exclude this item from the agenda because it is illegal. According to him, violations were asserted at the estimation of the goods, and the price of the stations is ridiculously low, given that only one transmitter is more expensive. Several councillors asked about the person who signed the contract for the estimation of the goods. After they insisted upon this specification, the interim mayor answered “Brejnev did”. In the end, the Legal and the Budget Commission gave a positive notice to the decision, and the members of the media commission left the room. The item will be debated at the session of the Chisinau Municipal Council on Thursday, January 18.
