The police arrested the author of the bomb hoax at Gas Natural Fenosa. This is a 52-year-old man who works as a garage guard in Rascani district of Chisinau, IPN reports.

According to a communiqué from the Chisinau Police Division, when asked to explain his act, the man said he didn’t have electric power for three days. He said he made the call from a public telephone situated near the Northern Bus Terminal.

The man faces a fine of 4,000 to 10,000 lei, 180 to 240 hours of community service or up to two years’ imprisonment.

In the morning of March 12, an individual phoned the police and informed that a bomb was planted at the head office of Gas Union Fenosa. The employees were evacuated and the bomb squad searched the place for about four hours, but found no explosive device.
