Acting Prime Minister Aureliu Ciocoi voted for an intelligent, developed, modern Moldova of which each citizen would be proud. “I voted for a Moldova with a high-quality education system as the human capital is what remained to us. We must take care to raise the next generations wise, well-trained and prepared for the challenges of the 21st century,” stated Aureliu Ciocoi, being quoted by IPN.

“I voted for a wise Moldova with a modern, developed economy, with a judicial system detached from financial or group interests that would promote the letter of the law and would guarantee the security of foreign investors and investment in the Republic of Moldova. Without this, it is very hard to start the economic development engine,” stated the acting Prime Minister.

As to the overdue sum of 22.46 million lei that was to be transferred to the CEC for organizing the elections, Aureliu Ciocoi said the money was transferred to the Government’s Reserve Fund and only the Government decision on the transfer of this money is to be adopted. “The money is intended for paying salaries to the electoral functionaries working on the territory of the Republic of Moldova,” he stated.

For the elections to be validated, the turnout should be at least 1/3 of the voters. Polling stations are open between 7am and 9pm.
