The Alliance for the Union of Romanians (AUR) offers the Party of Action and Solidarity (PAS) to sign a Unity and European Integration Commitment by which to undertake not to form compromise alliances with PSRM-PCRM, the Bloc “Renato Usatîi” or the Shor Party.
The rejection of an AUR-PAS majority and participation in an alliance with corrupt and compromise parties means betrayal of the voters, AUR Moldova leader Vlad Biletski stated in a news conference held in front of the PAS head office, IPN reports.
AUR noted it will accept to form an alliance with PAS only if this party clarifies its position on the main problems faced by the Republic of Moldova, promises not to change the strategic objective of European integration, guarantees that it will support the conviction of bandits and the bringing of the fugitives to justice, will really support the measures to trace and bring back the US$1 billion stolen from the accounts of the National Bank of Moldova and will stop any attempt to settle the Transnistrian conflict by federalizing the Republic of Moldova and will not allow the political settlement talks to be held before the withdrawal of the Russian troops and munitions from the territory of the Republic of Moldova.
AUR asks President Maia Sandu not to give the mandate of Prime Minister to a person who will not undertake to abide by the aforementioned principles.
PAS candidate for MP Sergiu Litvinenco later told another news conference that the Party of Action and Solidarity will analyze the proposals of the Alliance for the Union of Romanians and will provide an official response on the issue.
