A personal exhibition by Romanian artist Mirela Iordache entitled “Aterniger” was mounted at the National Museum of Arts of Moldova. The artistic approach brings novelty to the visuals arts in the cultural space of the Republic of Moldova, while artists like Mirela Iordache visualize real existential states that stimulate creative imagination, said art experts attending the opening of the exhibition. Considered the color of modernity, black fascinates the contemporary people, IPN reports.

Mirela Iordache exhibited her works in Chisinau for the first time. According to art historian Vasile Duda, Mirela Iordache managed to create her own expressionist-abstract place in which the artist’s talent merged with the experiment of an alchemist, while the actionisms “nigredo”, “albedo” and “rubedo” combined into updated nonparallelism that expresses the hesitations and convictions of an updated man, with the oscillations of this between concrete and virtual.

Mirela Iordache said black can be associated with mysterious, unknown. The nights are mysterious. The moments of meditation imply mystery. “For the first time in my artistic career, I bring a fully new approach starting from the problem of different valences and nuances of black at visual, sensorial and emotional levels,” the artist told IPN

Consisting of 14 paintings, the exhibition impresses by the spatiality dominated by black, red and simultaneously by quietness, said the director of the National Museum of Arts of Moldova Tudor Zbârnea. He noted that this is an exhibition that makes the space whole, as an installation.

Mirela Iordache was born in 1978 and lives in Bucharest. She staged over 90 personal, group and collective exhibitions in Romania, France, Germany, Belgium and Japan. Known for her experimental-abstract works, the artist embraces a wide range of styles and techniques.
