A number of drones crossed the territory of the Republic of Moldova last night following a massive attack on the Reni Seaport in Ukraine. One of them fell and exploded on farmland near the village of Ciumai in Taraclia district, and another exploded on a field located between Ceadar Lunga town and Valea Perjei village, IPN reports.

The crossing of the aircraft was reported by Border Police patrols. One of the drones fell on an agricultural field near Ciumai in Taraclia. As a result of the explosion, no one was hurt. The region was isolated and the competent authorities are examining its remains.

The police located the second drone 1.5 kilometers from Ceadar-Lunga. The area was isolated and all the necessary examinations are being conducted.

The Border Police said that following the Russian attack, which was recorded at 11:05 p.m., the Cismichioi Border Police sector temporarily closed the Reni-Giurgiulesti border crossing point and all employees were evacuated to Giurgiulești. A series of explosions were observed on the territory of Ukraine between 11:05 p.m. and 00:40 a.m., along the southern state border with Ukraine.

At 00:59 a.m. the air alert on the territory of Ukraine ended and, at 01.30 a.m., the Giurgiulești-Reni border crossing point reopened.

"The investigations continue. We will come back with additional details," said the General Border Police Inspectorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
