We also need permits for crossing the EU for our freight carriers,” noted the official, appreciating the openness of some of the EU member state.
For his part, the President of the European Council Charles Michel said the Republic of Moldova will be further supported economically and politically and €15 million will be offered for the migration sector.

We will support Moldova’s efforts to comply with the requirements (...) I’m sure that during the next two months, we will be able to transmit a clear signal as to the EU’s enlargement,” said Charles Michel.
Afterward, the institution will decide when the issue will be brought into discussion by the European leaders. The official noted that in parallel with this process, the EU acts immediately to strengthen the ties with the Republic of Moldova, including in the field of energy security.
