Association of Former Deportees and Political Detainees will vote for AMN
The Association of Former Deportees and Political Detainees will support the Moldova Noastra Alliance (AMN) in the November 28 parliamentary elections, the organization’s head Valentina Sturza said in a news conference on Friday, quoted by Info-Prim Neo.
“We will vote for the ‘sun’. The sun shines and everything grows around,” said Valentina Sturza. She and her colleagues from the Association stated that the AMN contributed to economic growth in Moldova and a number of the Government’s accomplishments, including the distribution of buses for students studying at schools in the neighboring villages, the rise in teachers’ salaries by about 20%, the opening of 20 centers with computers connected to the Internet in rural areas, the restoration of the Chisinau-Odessa train, etc.
Valentina Sturza accused the Communist Government of organizing genocide in 1946-1947. She referred to famine and deportations to Siberia that affected her parents as well. She warned about the danger of the Communists Party returning to power, accusing this party of committing a number of illegalities.
“On Sunday, the people will go to the church. Let’s then go to the polling places and vote!” Valentina Sturza urged.
