The European Council decided that the Association Agreements with Moldova and Georgia, including the free trade sections, will be signed not later than June, President of the European Commission Jose Manuel Barroso has told the Romanian press in Brussels, IPN reports, quoting Agerpress.
“It was a unanimous decision,” said Jose Manuel Barroso. “As you know, under our legislation, we must translate the agreements in all the languages, but can sign them in several languages.”
The Association Agreement with Moldova was expected to be signed by the end of August. The document was initialed at the Vilnius Eastern Partnership Summit last November.
