The Association Agreement with the EU envisions the creation of a Free Trade Area and, together with it, of better conditions for companies. It also allows extending the consumer market in Moldova, Liberal-Democratic lawmaker Anatolie Dimitriu said within a survey conducted by IPN among lawmakers. He noted that he will vote for the ratification of the Association Agreement and will urge other colleagues of his to do the same.
“The EU has a consumer market of 500 million people who need products of a high quality and we can supply them with such products. We have all the conditions needed to extend the home market and to perform economic activities not only in the East, but also in the West,” said the lawmaker. “If the country has a good economy, it also has security, order and high salaries.”
The Association Agreement between Moldova and the EU will be signed on June 27 and is to be ratified by Moldova’s Parliament by the end of July.
