The Association Agreement with the European Union is a historical act for Moldova. This document will improve people’s lives and will strengthen the law enforcement bodies, the leaders of the parliamentary groups of the ruling coalition said before the accord was subject to ratification, IPN reports.
The leader of the Liberal-Democratic parliamentary group Valeriu Strelet said the Association Agreement was disused and negotiated thoroughly and is aimed at ensuring the welfare and prosperity of Moldova and its people.
The head of the Democratic faction Marian Lupu said the ratification of the accord represents a beginning for Moldova on its European path. The road to Europe will mean higher salaries and pensions, new workplaces, better roads, education and health services of a higher quality. “Moldova’s future now looks better than ever,” he stated.
The leader of the Liberal-Reformist faction Ion Hadarca said that this agreement is of huge importance, given its impact and benefits for the Moldovan people. “We are Europeans and Europe joins us all,” he stated, adding that the signing of the accord marked a new start and a period of hard work and reforms will follow.
